When we talk about beauty, our first thought immediately goes to make-up or skin care. But rarely do we stop to think about how important it is to take care of our hair, and I am not only talking about having an impeccable cut, or the perfect color. But also, to take care of our scalp, because like the rest of our body is affected by the weather, stress or even lack of time. That's why today I joined Dove Hair to share with you my routine when it comes to taking care of my hair. And as a first step, without a doubt we have to know the different types of hair, and especially know which one is ours. Why is this important? Because it is the only way to find the right products, those with a formula that will work for our needs and not against. For that reason, today I not only want to share with you how I wash my hair, but, along with Dove’s DermaCare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief ShampooConditioner, I also want you to learn the different types of needs for someone’s hair and scalp.

Oily:
If you are one of the people that even if you just washed your hair, almost immediately have the feeling of having it dirty or sticky, it is likely that you have oily hair. This is because your scalp is producing more sebum than normal. You should know that many of the hair products can affect the pH and irritate your scalp. And this stimulates the secretion of the sebaceous glands. And the same thing happens on days when the heat is unbearable. As a tip, avoid brushing when your hair is dry!

Dry:
Dry hair on the other hand is characterized by splits and deteriorated ends. In addition to being brittle, opaque and you may notice dehydration from the distance. It is also more prone to an itchy scalp or even dandruff. What is the main cause of dry hair? It may vary, but it could be because of the weather, dyes, and of course the lack of water. So remember, if you are one of those who has dry hair, you have to start moisturizing it.

Normal:
Having normal hair is a blessing, and usually doesn't give any problems. On the contrary, it facilitates washing time and also when combing. But this does not mean that you should not take care of it. To keep it healthy, shiny and in good condition it is necessary to use the right shampoo (not just in quantity it's important, but the quality and the way you apply it) Because although it seems simple and something basic, there are ways to apply both the shampoo and conditioner for better results.

Mixed:
This type of hair has dry ends and tends to break but its roots are greasy. And the care routines for this hair can vary depending on the season. In addition to being the most common type of hair, it does not keep clean for long and it is very difficult to endure a lasting hairstyle.

Now that we have learned about the different types of hair, I can tell you what my routine is like. In my case, I have dry hair. Which means that I tend to have fragile ends and sometimes I suffer from an itchy scalp (in most cases produced by stress.) That's why I started to use Dove DermaCare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Shampoo and Conditioner because it helps nourish my scalp and helps soothe any irritation.

My Routine

First Step:
I wet my hair with water, at a warm temperature. Although I must confess that I am a lover of hot water, that's ... boiling! But for the best and health of my hair, I'm trying to improve my habits when it comes to showering. So I now like to use warm water.

Second Step:
I place a dollop of Dove DermaCare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Shampoo in the palm of my hand. Rubbing my hands together, I start to massage my scalp using small, circular motions. After gently massaging all of my hair, it's time to rinse!

Third Step:
I divide my hair into two parts, and apply Dove DermaCare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Conditioner. I start by applying the conditioner at the middle of my hair, working my way down to my ends. Let it sit for about 5 to 8 minutes, and while that happens, I sing, I dance and I give epic concerts. Time flies by! Now I'm ready to the final rinse with warm water, until it’s completely rinsed.

Fourth Step:
I dry my hair with a towel. During this step, I make sure to only gently dry my hair with the towel. Depending on the day and what the agenda has on the way, I decide whether to use the dryer or leave it to the wind ... Today, I just took my brush and untangled my hair.
