Road Trip with Square Cash, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, Maryland, USA.

We are about to welcome of one of the most beautiful seasons of the year, the moment when nature is dressed in colors, and the gray sky begins to paint itself of magical and beautiful blues. That is why Mau and I decided to join Square Cash once again, but this time with the aim of anticipating the arrival of the good weather and make a small road trip, the objective to discover the natural beauties of Winter transition into Spring offers us in the state of Maryland. Two and a half hours by road departing from the city in which we live. Our destination, one of the largest Wildlife Refuges on the East Coast of the United States: Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
The Blackwater NWR shelters a diversity of plants and animals in its three most important areas: forest, marsh and low water.
The shelter contains one-third of Maryland's tidal wetlands, making it an ecologically important area within the state. Blackwater NWR is recognized as a "Wetland of International Importance" by the Ramsar Convention and was named a priority wetland in the North American Waterfowl Management Plan. In addition, Blackwater NWR has been designated as one of the most important Bird Areas Internationally.
Blackwater NWR is home to the largest natural population of the ex-plowing of the endangered peninsula of Delmarva and is also home to the largest breeding population of American Bald Eagles on the East Coast, North Florida .
The refuge has been referred to as the "Everglades of the North," and has been called one of the "Last Great Places" for Nature Conservation.

As you can imagine we loved the idea from the first moment, since one of the things that we enjoy the most is local tourism. Planning the trip of course was a matter of the two, Mau is in charge of the map and road route, since those who follow me on social networks know, that I do not have much sense of location ... And if the GPS fails us, Chuchi is an expert with the maps.

In short, for my part I made a list of things that we would need for the tour (music, goodies, portable chargers for our mobiles) Because despite being a short trip, there are things that without a doubt can not be missed. So, paper and pencil in hand, we made our list of essentials for a road trip.

1. Safety

- That means, check battery, oil, lights, brakes and of course make sure we have enough fuel.
- Have on hand the documents of the car, registration and proof of insurance.
- A copy of the car keys (which should be in my backpack)
- Tool kit and spare tire. (Although this travel was short, better safe than sorry.)

2. Photography equipment

And in this is sincerely where we enjoy the most, since as you know our work consists of documenting our life through photographs. So, charge batteries, prepare the lenses and cameras for our adventure. (Needless to say, this is done by Mau, my contribution in this will be once we are in our destination. Since my plan is always to make many, but many photos of the trip.)

3. Cash.

For tolls or for any unforeseen. Usually we always try to have coins or small denomination bills, to pay for the parking and tolls.

With this list in hand, we have the distribution of the tasks. And this is where Square Cash remains our most reliable ally. Since, as you will remember Chuchi and I decided to download the application in December, Android  for him and Iphone for me. In this way we both have a better control of the budget allocated for the trip and we make sure that we both have money in our respective accounts in case something unforeseen arises. (We might find some Outlets in the middle of the road and I decide to go for the offers that can only be found there...)
For those unfamiliar with Square Cash , let me tell you that it's an easy-to-use application. You have to download it to your mobile phone, link a debit card and go. From there you can send or receive money instantly. Best of all, the other person does not need to have the application on their phone. That is, you can send money to whoever you want! Once you have installed the application and linked the account, you choose a $CashTag (the word you want and you can always remember) and receive money fast, easy and secure. We have been using this application since December, and was our faithful companion event to our recent New York Fashion Week experience, we used it to split the bill with my other companion of adventures. And we are sure that we will continue to use it for our summer trips. And for all those things where we need to transfer money fast and without complications.

We share these photos with much love, one of the most special and significant trips we have done in these three years as Bloggers. Being in direct contact with nature makes us discover the simplicity of life, the beauty of the things that nature offers us and that we must care for and protect. A breath of fresh, clean and pure air just two and a half hours from the capital of the United States.
